digipos launches POS in a Box to slash in store implementation complexity

digipos, the retail hardware brand of global omni channel retail technology provider Omnico Group, has launched POS in a Box, giving partners and customers the power to customise their own point of sale (POS) solution and have it delivered in one package.

POS in a Box allows customers to select the most suitable point of sale hardware elements for their environment from a range, including all-in-one and modular systems, touchscreens, printers, cash drawers, scanners and customer displays to build a complete POS solution tailored to their needs.

Each POS in a Box package is boxed and shipped with the peripherals included, ensuring that all the different elements are kept together, thereby reducing the headache and error potential of storing and receiving multiple shipments. With just one set of packaging there are obvious environmental benefits too. Installation is made faster as the systems come ready to plug and play, with the option of hardware configuration prior to shipping.

Commenting on the launch, Gareth Aconley, digipos Product Manager said, "Point of sale systems should be tailored to a retailer's requirements and that's exactly what we are providing with POS in a Box. By offering a 'build it yourself' system we're giving end users and resellers the ability to create bespoke systems for different sized locations and requirements. This approach allows retailers, leisure and hospitality businesses to create a uniform solution across an estate that is scalable from one system to 1000's of systems. It also allows partners to develop their own market specific solution, carrying their own brand"

He continues, "digipos offers a full range of products and peripherals that is differentiated from competitors through the ability to fully customise the solution, from colour, brand and mounting to configuration and install. POS in a Box gives customers a point of sale system all in one box that will help to wipe out any confusion at installation and speed up the process by 10 minutes per lane."
