International POS printer manufacturer Star Micronics has launched its mobile point of purchase solution. mPOP combines a 58mm Bluetooth thermal printer with a cash drawer to provide the ultimate space saving mobile POS system for retail and hospitality.
Offering what Star Micronics describes as outstanding connectivity and compact design alongside intuitive functionality and simple integration, mPOP responds to the need for an easily integrated mobile POS system. Simple and stylish, the lightweight and portable solution is just 10cm high and 30cm wide with a sleek design that will complement any counter top. Alternatively, mPOP with front feed receipting can easily be secured under the counter for enhanced space-saving.
The system incorporates a reliable 100mm/second thermal printer with intuitive top loading and easy front feed as well as a partial cut guillotine that automatically cuts the 58mm wide receipt. mPOP can be purchased with a plug and play scanner or this can be added as a later option.
mPOP works with all major operating systems including Apple iOS, Android and Windows to provide users with a versatile solution that is ready to work with a chosen mobile, software and card payment system. Bluetooth connectivity results in only one mains cable being required for full operation while the mPOP LED display will quickly determine pairing status as well as any issues such as paper out, etc. With 4 USB ports, additional tablet, phone, scanner, etc charging is available from the one cable.
The multiple functions and connectivity associated with mPOP make processing customer transactions smooth and effortless for a range of outlets including bars, cafés, florists and pop up shops.
