This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Epos Now recognised as the UK’s fastest growing POS company in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100.

Epos Now – which develops, manufactures and supplies state-of-the-art EPoS equipment and software to hospitality, retail and beauty firms nationwide – has been ranked number 13 in the 15th annual Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100.

Published last Sunday (6th Sept), the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table ranks Britain's private technology, media and telecoms companies with the fastest-growing sales over three years.

Appearing on the league table for the first time, the independent EPOS supplier is not only the sole POS company on the list, but is also the fastest-growing tech firm in the East of England having grown sales 156% a year to £5.2m in 2014.

CEO Jacyn Heavens comments: "We're thrilled that the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 sees us recognised as the UK's fastest growing POS company, as well as the region's fastest growing tech firm. It's fantastic confirmation of the outstanding progress we've made over the past three years and the advancements we've made in the EPOS industry.

"Our explosive growth has emerged from the huge benefits our products bring to our customers, and I'm proud that we've helped thousands of British SMEs become more profitable."

Epos Now is one of six companies headquartered in the East (compared to five last year) that have made a strong contribution to the local economy over the last three years. Together they employ 550 people and have achieved combined sales of £59m.

"To be ranked 13th nationally and top regionally is a great testament to all of the Epos Now team, and it's fantastic that we've been able to create over 100 jobs in just three years. Together, we look forward to continuing to grow the business, both in the UK and overseas," Jacyn adds.

The Tech Track 100 league table and awards programme is sponsored by Hiscox, Barclays, BDO and Business Growth Fund and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events firm.

Steve Langan, CEO of Hiscox Insurance Company, the title sponsor of the league table, comments: "Tech is one of this country's most exciting sectors right now. It's a phenomenal success story with impressive growth and innovation that has shown the UK deserves its position as a tech hub.

"There is much that other sectors could – and should – learn from UK tech, particularly when it comes to staying relevant and being agile. Every single one of this year's Tech Track 100 businesses has made an important contribution to its sector and the wider economy, and that's something to be immensely proud of."
