This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: Peoplevox and Scurri launch global e-commerce fulfilment market study.

Peoplevox, the expert e-commerce warehouse management system (WMS) provider, has launched a global market study into the future of e-commerce warehouse management.

Entitled "The 2017 E-Commerce Fulfilment Report" the aim of this extensive market survey is to identify key future trends in the usage and deployment of warehouse management systems over the next five years, as well as provide new insights and solutions to the growing e-commerce fulfilment challenges facing online retailers.

Respondents interested in taking part in the research project can do so by completing the online market survey questionnaire which takes less than five minutes to complete. All responses will be treated confidentially. Participants also stand the chance of winning a new iPad Pro as well as being eligible to receive a free copy of the market study findings planned for publication in the spring.

In partnership with e-commerce carrier platform provider, Scurri, the study invites contributions from all types and categories of e-commerce retailers, including brands, multi-channel retailers and pure play e-commerce businesses. Those involved in any aspect of e-commerce retailing can take part, including warehouse and fulfilment operations, sales, marketing, finance and administration.

The scope of the research will be wide ranging including businesses current plans for WMS installations; their level of integration with order processing, marketplace and carrier platforms; the implications of adopting new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics; through to the challenges of managing business expansion, customer service, planned and unplanned peak demand, product returns, and ever shorter delivery timescales.

"Warehouse personnel are the unsung heroes of online retailing and without them nothing gets delivered," said Jonathan Bellwood, Founder and CEO, Peoplevox. "By learning and analysing what e-commerce retailers and their warehouses around the world are planning over the next few years, our market study will help Peoplevox, and e-commerce solutions providers generally, to more accurately predict and preempt their future operational challenges and requirements. This will ensure scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions are available to e-commerce retailers for growing their profits while at the same time delivering first-class customer service."

Added Rory O'Connor, Founder and CEO, Scurri: "We are pleased to be partnering with Peoplevox on this important initiative. The e-commerce fulfilment landscape is changing more quickly than ever and e-commerce retailers of all shapes and sizes are entering unchartered waters, facing unprecedented consumer demand while having to meet onerous fulfilment and delivery deadlines."
