This article is brought to you by Retail Technology Review: TXT Retail, now an Aptos Company: Third consecutive year as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Retail Assortment Management Applications.

TXT Retail, now an Aptos Company, has again been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Retail Assortment Management Applications,* further improving its positioning both on the Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision axes compared to the two previous years.

At the time of the evaluation in the Magic Quadrant, TXT e-solutions still owned TXT Retail. Aptos then acquired TXT Retail on Oct. 1, 2017. The acquisition unites Aptos’ best-in-class customer engagement and inventory management solutions with TXT Retail’s best-of-breed merchandise lifecycle management suite.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant analysed 17 vendors based on 15 criteria, which for Ability to Execute were Product/Service, Overall Viability, Sales Execution/Pricing, Market Responsiveness/Record, Marketing Execution, Customer Experience, and Operations, and for Completeness of Vision were Market Understanding, Marketing Strategy, Sales Strategy, Offering (Product) Strategy, Business Model, Vertical/Industry Strategy, Innovation, and Geographic Strategy.

“We believe TXT Retail’s placement in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Retail Assortment Management Applications is reflective of the company’s dedication to high-quality implementations, solution innovation and the regular addition of new customers,” said Aptos CEO and culture leader Noel Goggin. “We are proud of the advances TXT Retail has made in the Leaders quadrant year-over-year.”

According to Gartner, by 2021, 70 per cent of Tier 1 multichannel retailers will have implemented advanced retail assortment management applications.

“Customers’ expectations of a unified retail commerce experience continue to challenge multichannel retailers as they pursue digital business transformation,” wrote author Robert Hetu, Gartner Research Director. “Unified retail commerce requires increased support from physical stores for fulfillment and returns, making the management of assortments by store and channel a major challenge.”

“We feel that our experience is perfectly aligned with Gartner findings,” comments Simone Pozzi, general manager, TXT Retail, now an Aptos Company. “We see a growing demand by retailers for merchandise lifecycle management solutions capable to support their omnichannel transformation and provide their customers with a continuous experience, no matter how shoppers interact with the brand. To us, TXT Retail’s leading position in the Quadrant, recognition of the strengths of our solution and highly rated customer references, are further evidence of the value of our approach.”
